Congratulations on putting together a good checklist of things to do for those turning age 65.
A couple of suggestions however:

Question 6:
While it is true that most seniors still decide to go with traditional Medicare, the number who select a Medicare Advantage plan, in light of its generally lower cost, is growing. In all cases, those who go with traditional Medicare need to have a Medicare supplement in order to be adequately protected, for without one, the costs of an extended hospital stay could be catastrophic.

Question 7:
This enrollment period that you hear about is actually from October 15th to December 7th this year (2012). It is called the Annual Enrollment Period, or AEP and not the Free Enrollment Period. It is the period of time that those who are in a Medicare Advantage (Medicare C) or Medicare Prescription plan (Medicare D)can switch from one plan to another for January 1, 2013.
